It was with great excitment that the children showed visitors their new chook shed which was opened on 6 September. The chook shed is another step achieved in the plan of WCC to teach animal husbandry skills to those in our care. This will also give children an opportunity to collect fresh eggs.
The shed was only made possible by the generous donation of Bunnings, who provided the materials and labour to construct the shed and who will sell the eggs to help feed and maintain the chickens.
